France Grice

Before turning to the creation of glass as a profession, France enjoyed a long and successful career as an interior designer. Glass evoloved from a hobby to a passion and she now devotes all of her time to the transformation of glass. Float glass (window glass) is France's medium of choice but some of her designs integrate coloured glass in unique fusion design. France's interior design background shows up in the way her pieces enhance the homes and gardens of the most discerning customers. France's own home has become both studio and showroom; fountains, birdbaths and garden panels are displayed in a luscious garden inspired by the elegant architecture of her native France. Her artistic expression also includes sculpture. She is inspired by emotions captured in gestures of the human body. She continues to travel extensively to access new ideas and impressions that transmute into timeless works of glass art.
