Fraser Brinsmead "Edmonton at Night"
10337 - 124 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.
April 6, 2019 until April 18, 2019
The West End Gallery is pleased to present “Edmonton at Night,” a solo exhibition of new works by Fraser Brinsmead. Though he has explored a variety of subject matter including musicians, construction workers, athletes, and natural landscapes, Fraser is always drawn to the urban landscape. The persistent allure of the imagery of the city is his most consistent muse. The buildings loom large, people are reduced to small action figures adding scale and a shared ambivalence about the power of the city that engulfs them. For this exhibition, Fraser pulls inspiration from his home town of Edmonton and many of the buildings that he had a hand in creating during his 36-year long career as an architect.
Please join the Fraser for the opening reception with the artist in attendance, Saturday, April 6th from 1-4. Fraser will also be the artist in residence for Gallery Walk April 13th from 1 - 4 pm. Exhibition continues through April 18, 2019. All artwork is subject to pre-sale.
